RE License Prep Privacy Policy

RE License Prep is run by New Chapter Institute LLC. The rules below cover what we record about you at relicenseprep.com (the "Site"), what we do with it, and who else can see it.

1. What Gets Recorded

Four categories, and nothing outside them:

• Your account: the name you give us, your email address, and a hashed version of your password.
• What you study: which lessons you open, every quiz and exam attempt, diagnostic scores, how far along you are, the dates you finish, and certificate details on courses that issue one.
• What you paid: a thin slice of the Stripe record - the dollar amount, the final four digits of the card, and whether the charge went through. Full card numbers stay with Stripe and never touch our servers.
• Machine details: your IP address, the browser you used, and rough usage logs that let us keep the Site up and locked down.

2. Why We Hold It

These four purposes:

• To open your courses and keep score of what you have finished.
• To issue certificates and confirm that they are genuine.
• To keep our own files intact if an auditor or regulator asks questions later.
• To reach you about getting into your account, changes to a course, or a support ticket you opened.

3. Signing In Through Google

Pick the Google option at sign-in and Google hands us two things from your profile: your name and your email address. Those are used for one job only - creating your login here and proving it is yours on the way back in. We never see, receive, or store the password on your Google account.

4. Cookies

Cookies hold your session open, save you from logging in on every page, and help us spot someone trying to get into an account that is not theirs. Your browser settings control them. Turn off the ones the Site depends on and parts of the Site will stop working for you.

5. Who Else Sees Your Data

Your personal information is not for sale, and we do not sell it. A narrow set of outside parties does receive limited data:

• Vendors that help us run the Site - hosting companies, email providers, and payment processors such as Stripe.
• A licensing agency or regulator, where proof that you completed a course has to be produced.
• Law enforcement, where the law compels it or where it is needed to defend the safety, property, or legal rights of our users or this platform.

6. How Long We Keep It

Course histories, certificates, and the account data attached to them stay on file for as long as we reasonably need them: to run the platform, to show what you studied and what you bought, to sort out support problems, and to satisfy record-keeping rules that apply to us.

7. What You Can Change

Edit your name or email from inside your account wherever a profile screen exists; otherwise send the change through our contact form. Ask us to close the account and we will, but finished-course records may have to stay with us where audit or compliance rules demand it.
